New Kaiser Papers Layouts

Back yet again, this has to be a record for the number of posts in one day..lol

This one is going to be short, hopefully.
These layouts are using the papers, rubons and bling from the new Kaisercraft Candy Lane Collection. Jenae from Scrapbooks from the Heart, where I work, gave me some to have a play with and I loved them, they are bright and colourful and very cute.

For the top layout I sprayed white cardstock with Hula Hoop (green) Glimmer mist, used a couple of rubons from the Candy Lane Black Rubons, I love the quote at the top when I saw it and just had to use it. The flower is from the Candy Lane Chipboard and a tag from the die cuts pack.

For this layout I have cut up the borders page of the Candy Lane Collection and stuck them at different levels with a backing piece of pink, also part of the Candy Lane Collection of papers and the cute tea pot and tea cups are the chip board accents. The bling cupcakes are also part of the embellishments for this collection and I cut some tea pots and tea cups out and scattered them around the page. I used Thickers for the title.

I really enjoyed doing this multi photo layout with the small photos. I have only just started to play with them, but I think I might be using them a lot more.

Ok, that is it for today. That was a littl bit of a marathon to get all the layouts up. I've just started cutting out some Santas to make some Christmas cards, so I'll share them once they are put together and finished.

Thanks for looking

A Pretty Websters Layout

I am back. I am on a roll at the moment. I decided to get all these blog posts done today seeing as I have finished some of my assignments and layouts for work, which will be in the next blog post.

Ok, so here is the 4th layout I did at the scrap day I went to recently. I LOVE it. It's a photo of my Mum and Dad on their Wedding Day in 1973. It's another one I keep looking at all the time. I have never played with Websters before, I have been too scared to cut it up and didn't really know what to do with it. But these kits for this layout have been designed by my good friend Kaye. She is on the design team for Scraptique and has disgned them especially for Scraptique. And they are only $12, what a bargain. I had lots of fun doing this one, though I did get a bit of a sore hand and finger from all the cutting with the craft knife, but I quickly got over it.

The papers are Websters Feather Fashion Paper from the Hollywood range. Isn't it just so pretty. I cut out the flowers and bird and have curled them from the back with a flower curler and then stuck them on with Scrapdots to give them some dimension. The bodice is from Dusty Attic and is sprayed with Suede Glimmer Mist and has a bit of muslin tied around the waist with the flowers. The title at the bottom is using Adorn-its, you get the black ones in the kit.
Well, must be off, have to go and pick Chloe up from school.
Will be back soon with some new Kaisercraft layouts I did for Scrapbooks from the Heart.
Bye for now

A Scrap Day

Hi there peoples,
I'm back. I have been missing for a while because I decided that I had to get some studying done and some of my assignments before I was allowed to play or do any blogging. And yesterday I finished and posted off 2 of my assignments and now I just have one left..YAYYYY

But I did have a scrap day with some friends of mine that was organised by Scraptique to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness. It was a great day and we all had a great time and some great laughs and I even managed to get some scrapping done too. I got 4 layouts done which I was pretty happy with.

I loved doing this first layout. I sprayed a piece of white cardstock with Dragonfly Glimmer mist and then cut 3 strips from 3 different pieces of the Dear Lizzy Enchanted papers, I used Sophisticated Jack, Wise Tortoise and Horacious Hare. A Zva Crystal Butterfly flourish and a Dear Lizzy Momento Charm for the title at the bottom of the page.

I love how this page came together and I love looking at it too.

Pretty Dear Lizzy Momento Charm

Next one is a fairly simple layout, but I love this one too. Luke has just started getting in to dressing up, so every week when we go to Playgroup he askes to dress up, usually as Buzz, but today he decided to be a Fireman first.

Ingredients for this one are Black cardstock, Adorn-it alphas for a bit of journalling, some red cardstock, Chipboard alphas sprayed with Graphite Glimmer mist and 6x6 piece of Dusty Attic Chipboard Chicken wire (that I got from Scraptique at the scrap day) sprayed with Peppermint Stick Glimmer mist that I stitched on to help it stay on the page.

This layout I decided to do nice and bright. It is of Chloe and Luke taking turns at taking each other for a ride on Luke's 3 wheeler trike. They were having such a great time and laughing that I had to get some photos of them.

I have used some of the Fly a Kite papers from October Afternoon with some aqua co'ordinations cardstock that I sanded and distressed. Cosmo Cricket mini alphas, Black Thickers for the title and then I got the needle and thread out and thanks to my trusty Bazzill stitches template did some stitching around 2 of the corners just to finish things off.
Well thats it for me for now.
Will be back again shortly with a Websters layout
Thanks for looking

Technical Problems

Ok, so I have just put together and written a post with photos and it seems that it doesn't want to publish, yet it is telling me that it has. Maybe because I haven't been on for a while it's decided not to work anymore.

I will try again later and fingers crossed things will be working then

A Couple of Christmas Layouts

Hi all,

I thought I would share with you a couple of Christmas layouts I did recently. They are from Christmas last year but I have only just gotten around to scrapping them, just in time for this Christmas!!

Last Christmas on the 1st of December I decided to take photos every day of what the kids and I were doing to get ready and organise for Christmas. We did some fun things, like putting up the tree and baking treats and changing the days on the count down blackboard. I decided to scrap these photos because for us it shows just what Christmas is all about.

For both layouts I have used the very nice Creative Imaginations Christmas Traditions papers - Snowy Day, Christmas Trees and Christmas Baubles (which I cut up).

I have used Thickers for the title and to write Presents and Adorn-its for part of the journalling.

I cut this flower with my Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers Sizzix die in paper and muslin and then sprayed them with Peppermint Stick Glimmer mist. I just love it, doesn't it look pretty.

The Baubles were cut out from the
Ornaments paper and mounted on
white cardstock and cut out and
then decorated with Tim Holtz Rock
Candy Distress Stickles, which has
given a bit of a snow look to the
baubles.

And here is the second layout. This one is of Luke on Christmas Day with some of his many presents. He is so excited about Christmas this year and is already talking about Santa, so hopefully we might get him to go near Santa.

Well thats all for me for now. I have a couple of other layouts to post soon.

Thanks for looking
